Job Title: CAS – Payroll Clerk/Administrative Assistant

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILIES
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our dynamic team in California. This role is essential to ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with payroll regulations, and supporting both accounting and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll operations and be comfortable handling a variety of administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process payroll for multiple clients with precision and timeliness, including regular, bonus, and off-cycle payments.
- Maintain and update client payroll records, including wage adjustments, deductions, and benefits.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for client and external audits.
- Collaborate with clients point of contact to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure alignment with employee records.
- Perform payroll-related data entry and ensure accuracy across systems.
- Assist with general ledger reconciliations related to payroll accounts.
- Manage administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and documentation.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll
- Coordinate with external vendors for payroll-related services when needed.
- Additional administrative tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in payroll processing and management
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software such as Quickbooks, Agililink ADP, Workday, or similar platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling sensitive financial data.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle administrative duties.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Compensation dependent on experience $24-$28/hour.
