Job Title: Accounts Payable Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Owners/Executives

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Duffy Kruspodin is looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator for one of their most loyal clients. This is an established property management company based out of the heart of Los Angeles that is in need of an Accounts Payable Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day accounts payable operations for all residential properties, management entities, and commercial properties.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Process all bills and invoices in a timely manner.
  • Verify and code invoices accurately.
  • Allocate charges to appropriate properties, including medical, dental, and other expenses.
  • Ensure vendor compliance with insurance requirements and W-9 submissions prior to payment.
  • Monitor utility bills to prevent charges for tenant utilities after move-out.
  • Track invoices in Workflow to confirm payments are posted in the correct month.
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of 1099 forms.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from vendors, managers, and tenants.
  • Reconcile monthly vendor statements with internal records to confirm accurate payment posting.
  • Maintain accurate backup documentation (contracts, agreements) for all processed invoices.
  • Confirm pricing and rates for all invoices before processing.
  • Foster effective interdepartmental communication to ensure smooth workflow processes.
  • Provide additional support to other departments as needed.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Accounting).
  • 5 years or more of general accounting experience.
  • Fluency with Yardi is required.
  • Experience in property management accounting is preferable.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and demonstrates a “can-do” productive attitude.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation range for this opportunity is $24-$31/hr.
