A Message From Our New Managing Partner

Dear Clients, Friends and Family,

As our firm has just celebrated our 30-year anniversary I would like to thank all of you for the trust that you’ve placed onto our partners and staff. Through the years, it’s been a part of our mission to create an environment of integrity, respect and trust for our people, clients, and community. We’ve been accomplishing this vision through our dedication to high standards, hiring of seasoned and technical professionals, and our unwavering work ethic. These qualities are the foundation to our internal culture and undoubtedly contributed to our success as we grew from a one-office operation with the staff of 3 to a respectable four-office regional CPA firm with the staff of almost 200 that we are today.  Recently, Duffy, Kruspodin, LLP was recognized by Forbes as one of “America’s Best Tax Firms 2020” and we are ranked within the top 30 in California and 200 nation-wide by size.  This is a testament of our growth and success as a firm; as well as a recognition of our passion to being a premier service provider and one of the best places to work!

Many of you have been with us since the beginning and it’s with great pride and pleasure for us, as a firm, to contribute and be part of your continuing success story. We are proud of our accomplishments and we are humbled by being able to serve you. As we’ve entered the new decade, we are committed to being your trusted partner and adviser in all of your financial affairs.

We have a lot of exciting news to share with you as we enter 2020.  First of all, I have been entrusted by all of our partners to accept the position of Managing Partner of Duffy Kruspodin, LLP.  Tom Duffy, who has been our great leader for the past 30 years, has helped navigate our firm to new heights and will remain a partner at the firm as well as our trusted counsel.

In addition, it is my pleasure to take this opportunity to announce some very important promotions within our firm:

– Donna Feder, CPA, EA  – Partner In Charge, Los Angeles region.
– Joshua J. Bodenstadt, CPA  – Partner In Charge, San Diego region.
– Suzie Korth, E.A. – Partner, University Heights office.
– Livia Benjamin, CPA, Principal, La Jolla office.
– Derek Hess, CPA, Principal, La Jolla office.
– Quyen Leba, CPA, Principal, La Jolla and University Heights offices.
– Yelena Papiryan, CPA, Principal, Beverly Hills and Woodland Hills offices.

Effective January 1, 2020, we have also merged in the San Diego CPA firm of Lipsey, Youngren, Means, Ogren & Sandberg, LLP (LYMOS). The merger will deepen our existing specialization in the real estate industry.  We welcome the LYMOS staff and clients to our Duffy Kruspodin family.

As we enter the 2020 busy season, I look forward to continue building strong relationships with our clients, staff and community.

Sincerely,

Mark Kruspodin, CPA/PFS
Managing Partner
